Senior Software Engineer
Joakim is a senior software engineer and full stack developer with experience across e-commerce platforms, data integration and enterprise systems. He works across the full stack with particular depth in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript, and has filled roles from backend engineer to technical lead. He combines structured delivery with an interest in software architecture and system-wide coherence.
Current focus
Joakim is currently working with a provider of search and recommendation technology for e-commerce, as a senior full stack engineer on the administrative platform for a product discovery engine. He joined as the team’s first dedicated backend developer, built backend functionality from the ground up and contributes to the frontend. His work includes functionality that allows merchandisers to manually override product listings generated by the engine.

Background
At a provider of sports video analysis and streaming services, Joakim designed and built a full stack order management system from scratch, handling orders for physical products, customer subscriptions and subscription add-ons. The backend was implemented in Java with JAX-RS and PostgreSQL, the frontend in ReactJS and TypeScript, and the application was hosted on AWS Elastic Beanstalk with integrations to the company’s accounting and product platform.
As System Developer and Technical Lead at a major Nordic e-commerce platform, he held day-to-day responsibility across multiple parts of the system, from product catalogue management in C# and SQL to customer-facing JavaScript development. He was also responsible for maintaining the CI/CD pipeline using TeamCity and Octopus Deploy.
He has also contributed to a data integration platform at a global manufacturer of food processing and packaging solutions, developing solutions to connect global applications with factory machines, introducing Docker containers for local testing and managing integration pipelines in Azure DevOps.
