Eric Ericsson
Senior Frontend Developer
Eric is a frontend developer with experience building modern web clients across both small agile teams and large-scale enterprise projects. He works close to the full stack, combining frontend architecture and implementation with a sound understanding of backend integration. He has established frontend environments from scratch, including framework selection, build pipeline configuration and API integration.
Current focus
Eric is currently working with a global manufacturer of food processing and packaging solutions as frontend lead on a web application supporting the company’s sales and delivery process. He established the Vue.js SPA from the ground up, selected the frontend architecture, configured the build pipeline and works in close collaboration with UX designers and backend developers.
Competence areas
Background
Between June 2016 and March 2017, Eric worked on the frontend of a new global e-commerce platform at a major international retailer. He built reusable components integrated with Java-based APIs, with server-side rendering via JSP. Presentation logic was implemented in ES6 and SASS, in line with the client’s design guidelines, to support a high-traffic multinational e-commerce environment.
Between July 2015 and May 2016, Eric worked on a new web client for a revenue management product at a major telecommunications equipment manufacturer. The product served major telecom operators globally, and the new client was built on a proprietary JavaScript framework based on jQuery, Backbone.js and RequireJS. Testing was handled with Mocha and Chai.
Between April 2014 and June 2015, Eric worked on the frontend of an administrative system at a Swedish government agency, used to process EU subsidy applications from farmers. The system was built in AngularJS, and Eric led the migration from a legacy JSF implementation to the new framework, as well as setting up the frontend build processes.
